The Leadership and Planning Chairman's Role.

In order to ensure the sucess of Legion it is nesessaary to ensure that the branch members become familiar with the structure and manner in which the legion conducts its day to day operations.
The Leadership and Planning Chairman assists branch officers, executive members and those who will assume these positions in future years with information to permit them to become proficient in their leadership roles.
Some areas covered by this role are: Day to day branch operations.
                                                        

Branch Officer's responsibilities
                 Member's responsibilities Legion dress
                 Wearing of Decorations and Medals
                 Flag Etiquette
                 Visits of Officials and Protocol

The Chairman will also do anything and everything to assist members in carrying out their responsibilities. This may involve entering a question and answer quiz in the branch bulletin or leaving quiz sheets on the tables in the member's lounge for members to test their knowledge of Legion matters.
There will be seminars on various items from time to time for specific duties of officer's and executive chairmen.  He will notify the President and the Executive
of any impending changes to Legion manuals or law that will affect the branch.

The Leaderhip and Planning Chairman is to assist all members in making the Legion work better.
