Eligibility to join The Royal Canadian Legion
Canadian citizens or Commonwealth subjects
may qualify to join The Royal Canadian Legion under one of the following
categories:
Categories of Membership:
Ordinary
Ordinary membership includes serving and
ex-serving members of Her Majesty's Armed Forces, RCMP, Canada's war-time
allies, and more..
Associate
Associate members include relatives of those who
are, or were eligible for ordinary membership, as well as some relatives of
associate members. This category is open to cadets, officers of The Navy League
of Canada and police officers.
Affiliate
Affiliate membership is open to men and women
who do not otherwise qualify, but who support the Legion's aims and share its
values. Although, they must wait two years to aquire voting rights, they may
immediately play a key role in branch affairs.
